Working with Birth Families

In this training session we aim to ensure that Foster Carers are aware of legislation, standards, and guidelines in relation to contact with birth families.
We will focus on
• The opportunities versus the challenges with the chance to be reflective about supporting contact.
• We will aim to provide you with opportunities to share experiences and dilemmas that are faced within contact, and to draw on the wealth of experience amongst the group.
• We will explore the differences in contact since the Covid 19 Pandemic and how this has changed the ways in which we are expected to deliver contact.
