Working with difference …

In this MyST training session we will be looking at how we hold children and young people at the heart of what we do, and this includes recognising that everyone is unique, and therefore will require varied support and approaches that reflect their needs. Through this lens, we will be using the Social Graces Framework and the LUUUTT model to explore issues of social difference, power, diversity, and bias, and how this impacts the young people we care for.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Develop an understanding of the ways in which we  bring privilege, as well as where we may lack privilege.

Learn and practice ways we can support young people to think about their own difference and what this means to them and what they need.
