DDP Principles for Carers

In this MyST training session we will be looking at the key principles the underpin Dyadic Developmental Practice (DDP). DDP is a therapeutic parenting approach that supports the young people we care for to make sense of their internal worlds.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Develop an understanding of the principles of DDP.
  • Learn and practice ways we can respond to and care for young people using DDP.
  • Consider our own internal world and what thoughts, feelings, and responses our young  people can bring up in us.
